Promoting Next Generation Mobility Innovators in the Americas

The Miami Mobility Challenge — the M2 — is a civic startup competition, focused on bringing together both cities and innovators from both sides of the Americas to tackle the urgent challenges of urban mobility. The inaugural edition of the Challenge assembles semi-finalists who will pitch their innovations to key Miami-Dade and CoMotion MIAMI stakeholders, with the grand prize winner getting to preview a pilot of their solution with Miami-Dade County.

This year’s Challenge has a special focus on solutions centered around resilience, but all are welcome to apply.

“I look forward to this next generation of mobility innovators from throughout the Americas sharing their ideas with our community, I can’t wait to see them deploy their solutions in Miami-Dade County.” – Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez

The winning team will earn a coveted slot on the CoMotion MIAMI main stage, where they’ll get to demonstrate their vision to a who’s who of mobility decision makers, civic leaders, VCs, journalists, and more.

To be eligible, applicants must be less than five years old, have revenue of less than $5 million, and have a product in pilot, beta or prototype stage.

The Challenge is a joint initiative of CoMotion MIAMI, Miami-Dade County, and The NewCities Foundation, and is powered by UrbanLeap.

Applications close June 12th.
